New 2026 Honda Civic Coupe Interior, Pictures, Engine   –  The 11th generation Honda Civic debuted in 2022 and remains virtually unaltered through 2026. But hold on a second. Last year, the Toyota Corolla overtook the Civic, which had been Canada’s best-selling vehicle for 24 years.  New 2026 Honda Civic Coupe Interior

Exterior and Interior

The hatchback is the best option for civic practicality. The sedan does, however, benefit from the new model’s roomy cabin, which offers enough head, leg, and shoulder room. With its huge trunk opening and low liftover height, the Civic’s 419 L trunk capacity outperforms that of the Toyota Corolla (371 L), Hyundai Elantra (402 L), and Mazda3 (315 L). Although the aperture isn’t particularly large, you can carry longer goods when the 60/40 split rear seat is folded down. The only Civic sedan variant with assisted trunk opening is the Touring.New 2026 Honda Civic Coupe Interior

A large covered bin between the seats and a rubberized storage/phone charge shelf in front of the gear selector are just two examples of the many practical storage spaces up front.  New 2026 Honda Civic Coupe Interior

New 2026 Honda Civic Coupe Specs

The top-tier Civic Touring has a nine-inch touchscreen (lower trims have a seven-inch screen), rain-sensing wipers, real perforated leather, and an incredible 12-speaker sound system. The interior quality is superb, and the dash’s slender honeycomb grille strip is a delightfully attractive design element. While passengers in the back enjoy heated derrieres, those in the front do not have adjustable lumbar support or seat ventilation.  New 2026 Honda Civic Coupe InteriorNew 2026 Honda Civic Coupe Pictures

Engine and Performance

This top-trim Touring is the only Civic equipped with Honda’s 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which generates 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. It’s a neat little motor that operates linearly and smoothly. Its powerful middle turbo drive, which gives the sedan a lot of mobility, makes it one of the class’s speedier versions.New 2026 Honda Civic Coupe Engine

The turbo-four is connected to a carefully calibrated automatic continuously-variable transmission (CVT). The Civic hatch is the only model with a six-speed manual. While eco mode somewhat dulls performance for fuel efficiency, sport mode sharpens throttle response and keeps the engine in its power zone.  New 2026 Honda Civic Coupe Interior

These numbers are lower than those of the Volkswagen Jetta and Toyota Corolla, but they are greater than those of the regular Mazda3. You get the impression that the engineers who created and adjusted this sedan were concerned about Honda’s reputation for sporty dynamics and driver involvement, as is the case with the majority of Honda vehicles. The low-slung driving posture and strategically positioned controls of this 11th-generation sedan convey a sports attitude. The well-tuned front-wheel-drive chassis exhibits remarkable grip from the all-season tires, precise turn-in, and good body control.

New 2026 Honda Civic Coupe Safety Features

Lane-departure warning and keeping assist, frontal collision warning with automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise, and traffic jam assistance are just a few of the many safety features that come standard on the 2026 Honda Civic. The latter is a semi-autonomous technology that permits some driving without using the hands or feet. The majority of trim levels also come equipped with rear cross-traffic warning and blind-spot monitoring.  New 2026 Honda Civic Coupe Interior

Sometimes the lane-keep assist feature is too eager and gets confused by blurry lane lines. When traveling in rural areas at night, the auto-dimming LED headlights worked really well. The Touring model also comes with front and rear parking sensors.

New 2026 Honda Civic Coupe Price and Release Date

Although $35,580 before taxes is a lot of money for a little sedan, you’re getting a lot of car for the money with this top-trim Civic. For some purchasers, the Civic’s lack of all-wheel drive, in contrast to the Mazda3, Toyota Corolla, and, of course, Subaru Impreza, will be a deal breaker. However, the Touring has a sense of solidity and refinement that is far removed from its image as a “economy car,” and it feels and drives like a luxury product. Not a single piece of data suggests cost-cutting.  New 2026 Honda Civic Coupe Interior
