New 2026 Honda Integra Hatchback Redesign

New 2026 Honda Integra Hatchback Redesign, Pictures, Engine  –  Even minivans these days are exceeding the 300 horsepower mark, so a sedan with just 107 horsepower is more whisper than wallop. Even with the battery-operated hybrid punch, the total output is only 151 horsepower. Honda introduced a quirky little two-seat hybrid a few decades ago. It had a manual gearbox, strange skirts over the back wheels, and a paint job that looked like nasal congestion.  New 2026 Honda Integra Hatchback Redesign

The brand sold relatively few, of course. After starting again, Honda released the brand-new, somewhat dowdy-looking Integra Hatchback a few years later. Few people noticed or cared about that one, even though it at least had a back seat and an additional pair of doors.

Exterior and Interior

Even minivans these days are exceeding the 300 horsepower mark, so a sedan with just 107 horsepower is more whisper than wallop. Even with the battery-operated hybrid punch, the total output is only 151 horsepower. The way the power is given via the continuously variable transmission (CVT) is worse than the weak-kneed power. As the rpm rise, hold, and then fall, the engine makes more groaning noises than a zombie film, and there’s a noticeable rubber-band sensation throughout.New 2026 Honda Integra Hatchback Interior

Since a large portion of the battery’s regeneration is derived from kinetic energy gathered through the braking system, hybrids have historically featured extremely grabby brakes. The Integra Hatchback’s brakes provide a rather linear braking reaction for the most part, although they nevertheless aid in system recharge. Furthermore, handling is deft, especially for a car that puts economy first. The Continental tires that come with it offer sufficient grip without whining at the first provocation on a bend, which is frequently the case with low-rolling-resistance tires, despite having less steering feel and a less tight suspension than a performance sedan.

The Touring model, which has a nicer interior and some chrome highlights, was the Integra hatchback that we tested. Along with the sunroof and heated front and back leather seats, Honda also includes a 452-watt audio system and standard satellite navigation. The 10-speaker setup has passable sound quality, although it sounds hollower than some of the competition’ systems.

When driving on a daily basis, the Integra Hatchback feels like it’s trying to push itself through molasses, but its torque of 197 lb-ft from zero to 3,000 rpm helps. Using the sport mode and softly pressing the accelerator pedal allows for a surprisingly quick leap from a stop, but at high speeds, the passing power is little and the maximum torque is fleeting.

New 2026 Honda Integra Hatchback Fuel Economy

Fuel efficiency is the Integra Hatchback’s specialty. Our typical weekly combination of city, highway, and country routes resulted in an indicated 4.9 L/100 km of regular-grade fuel usage with no effort. In order to achieve even more economy, individuals who are determined to use every last drop of gasoline might be kinder to the throttle than we were. The EV light on the dash indicates that the Integra Hatchback is cruising, coasting, or crawling along on battery power alone.  New 2026 Honda Integra Hatchback Redesign

One benefit of the hybrid system’s operation is the 40-L gasoline tank, which offers a respectable range, particularly if most of the driving is done in urban areas. It’s worth noting that the Integra Hatchback’s two primary competitors, the Toyota Prius and Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid, both deliver better efficiency than the Honda, with average figures superior to the Integra Hatchback’s across the board.

New 2026 Honda Integra Hatchback Safety Features

All Integra Hatchbacks are equipped with Honda’s superb active safety package, which includes automatic high beam management, adaptive cruise control with autonomous braking, lane-keeping assistance, and active road-departure and collision avoidance systems.

The automated cruise control did seem a bit too cautious to us; it took a while to determine that it was safe to speed when the lane was free in front of us. Similarly, our tester’s lane-keeping assist was hyperactive, persistently but kindly arguing with the driver over the steering wheel’s orientation.  New 2026 Honda Integra Hatchback Redesign

New 2026 Honda Integra Hatchback Price and Release Date

With a quoted price of $32,490 for the highest Touring model, the Integra Hatchback is marginally less expensive than its main rivals. The standard model, which starts at $28,490, is an even better deal because there are no add-on possibilities.

To give you an idea, the Integra Hatchback is somewhat more expensive than a Civic sedan with similar equipment by around $3,000 and has a combined fuel efficiency of about 2.2 L/100 better. At current gasoline rates, a buyer of an Integra hatchback would need to travel 20,000 km annually for up to six years to break even. The hybrid system of the Integra Hatchback would pay for itself sooner for drivers who commute a longer distance or who often stop and go.  New 2026 Honda Integra Hatchback Redesign
